MINUTES

General Meeting

March 30, 2003

Call to Order 7:10 p.m. with prayer by Harvey Lyons.

Attendance: Warren Lee, Jerome Caulk, Russ Cuffee, John Nelson, Dan Evans, Roy Rogers, Lorenzo Dixon, Andy Flye, Thomas Sweeney, Joe Long, Howard Aldridge, Lloyd Iglehart Sr, Lloyd Iglehart III, Gary Hill, Russell Satchel, Mark Cooks, Eddie Mayberry, Rick Heiskell, Dan Mask, Mark Cooks, and Truman Thomas.

National President’s Report

President Sweeney informed the club of his “national recognition” proposal.  The proposal will be placed on our web site and the club will discuss proposal in more detail during the April meeting. For additional national information please visit our web site www.produffersusa.org.

Our club is losing our leading edge status due to our poor attendance at our national and spring fling events.  Eight members are planning to attend spring fling.

Financial report

Tournament account showed an available balance of $2,407.22 with no outstanding debts.  Report accepted as information only.

New Member Introduction

The following new members have not attended any meetings to date Hollis Brashear and Ed Lloyd.   Therefore, since they have not attended any general meetings the club will withdraw its’ invitations.

2003 Benefit Tournament

Chairman Cuffee presented tournament goal is $15,000.00and the benefit budget was approved.  Tournament fee is $125 until July 19, 2003 then the fee will be $150. with both days at the Brick Yard.  Corporate packets will range from $1,000 to $5,000, plus we will also have an executive package.

2003 Tournament Schedule

Tournament director Jerome Caulk presented proposed dates for our 2003 schedule, after discuss and by consensus, our schedule with formats, prizes, and uniforms will be posted on our web site.

Uniforms 2003

Harvey Lyons presented the body with our new “yellow” shirt and a sample for the anniversary shirt.  Harvey will get with Ike Sr. and have more selections next meeting.  Roy Rogers presented a silk tie option of $65 to the body, however the body voted to hold the price to no more than $30.

20^th Anniversary Celebration(s)

Dan Evans speaking on behalf of his committee recommended that our celebration be held on Friday, December 5, 2003, At the Radisson hotel located on Northwest Highway @ IH 35.On motion duly made and seconded the body voted in the affirmative to accept the recommendation.   If you have ideas or suggestions or want to work with Dan, please contact him before the next meeting.

Pro Duffer Southwest Code of Conduct

Dan Evans agreed to chair a committee consisting of all club founders and past club president whose charge is to produce a written code of conduct.  The club already has an unwritten code the committee will reduce that code plus their ideas to writing.

New Business

On motion duly made and seconded the body voted in the affirmative to 1) accept the resignation of our financial secretary and 2) to appoint Hubert Threats to fill the unexpired term.

Notice of future General Meeting

The club will meet monthly in the Wells Fargo bank conference room the fourth (4^th) Thursday of every month, with the exception of October (retreat) and December.  All meetings will start at 7:00 p.m. and end no later than 9:00 p.m.  Please come and please be on time.
