Motion was made, seconded and carried to accept the minutes from the January General Meeting.

Pro-Duffers USA Spring Fling will be May 2-4, 2003 in Chantilly, VA. Registration fee must be received by March 31, 2003 in order to participate in the Spring Fling activities and receive the special group rates. For further information please contact:

Financial Report

Tournament Financial Report $1,875

New Members Introduction – Vernon Bland

New members were sent a welcome letter per Vernon Bland

Motion was made, seconded and carried to extend new member deadline to March meeting – Membership Chair Vernon Bland will contact new members

2003 Benefit Tournament – Russ Cuffee

Benefit Tournament will be held on August 2-3, 2003 at Cedar Crest and Old Brickyard Golf Clubs on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Entry fee is $125…after 7/19/03 fee will increase to $150.00. We expect 150 players and 50 Junior Golfers to participate. Host Hotel yet to be decided.. Flyer to be ready by March meeting.

Motion was made, seconded and carried to accept the tournament locations and entry fee.

2003 Tournament Schedule – Jerome Caulk

Motion was made, seconded and carried to accept the 2003 tournament schedule. Schedule will be posted on website for future reference.

2003 Point System – Truman Thomas

Truman Thomas on behalf of the participation committee reviewed the 2003 proposed point system which is intended to assure adequate participation by the membership. Each member of the Pro Duffers – SW chapter must score a minimum of 200 points in order to maintain active status in the organization. Details can be found on the SW Chapter website.

Motion was made, seconded and carried to accept the point system retroactive to January 1, 2003.

20^th Year Anniversary – Report Deferred until next meeting

Uniforms

Discussion was held on the type and number of shirts we would purchase this year. It was decided we would purchase 3 shirts…Based on the exhibit, it was decided we would purchase Shirt #2 & 3 at a cost of $31 and $42 respectively for regular play and Shirt #4 at a cost of $54 for Anniversary purposes.

Motion was made, seconded and carried to purchase a Dark Blue, Deep Goal or Yellow (w/ Gray as an alternate color) for regular shirts. Anniversary shirt color would be green.

Remarks

Presentation was made by Coach Charles Malone, Tournament Coordinator for the Century 21 Galloway-Herron Charity Golf Classic. The tournament will be held March 24, 2003 at the Oak Cliff Country Club with proceeds benefiting Easter Seals of Greater Dallas. For more information you may contact Charles Malone at 214.467.4000.

Motion was made, seconded and carried for the SW chapter to purchase a Hole sign for $100.

Mike Edwards proposed that we consider finding an alternate meeting location in North Dallas to accommodate members who reside in North Dallas. Truman Thomas will look into the possibility of City Place as a possible meeting location for our next meeting. Members will be notified of any changes prior to the next meeting which is scheduled for Thursday, March 27, 2003 (FORTH THURSDAY OF THE MONTH)
