General Meeting
April 29, 2004
Call to Order
Meeting called to Order at 7:10 p.m. by Chapter President – Jerry Woodard
In Attendance (18 members present for a quorum)
Jerome Caulk, Russ Cuffee, Lorenzo Brown, Neil Halliday, Ike Iglehart Sr., Joe Johnson, Dan Mask, Eddie Mayberry, Tom Sweeney, Truman Thomas, Morris Whitaker, Jerry Woodard, Robert Roussell, Harvey Lyons, Russell Satchell, Elza McKnight, Ken Boyce, Rick Heiskell.
Chapter President Comments – Jerry Woodard
Jerry made opening comments reminding the member of our mission….to have fun, promote golf, and support the Jr. Golf initiatives. In addition, he announced that all future meetings would be held at this central location.
MOTION for Minutes from February meeting were seconded and approved
National President’s Report – Tom Sweeney
| Provided comments concerning the 2004 Spring Fling held April 23 - 25 |
| Atlanta Chapter will host the 2004 National Meeting in Orlando, FL. More info to follow. |
| Little Rock tournament is May 13 – 14; Houston tournament is June 5 – 6. Members are encouraged to attend. |

Financial report – Truman Thomas
| The financial report was presented and a motion to accept the report was approved. |
Tournament Committee – Ike Sr.
| Ike Sr., presented the winnings from the April tournament |
| He asked that members notify him a week in advance if they are going to play in the next scheduled tournament (L.B.Houston) on the 2nd. Uniform yellow/black #6 |
Correspondence – Robert Roussell
| Houston trip June 5&6 |
| Presented minutes from the March meeting. A motion to accept the minutes from the March meeting was approved. |
2004 Benefit Tournament – Russ Cuffee
| No meeting held by the committee the month of April. |
| Emphasized how important it is to get players to register very early this year |
| Currently working on the contract for the Motor Speedway racing. |
| Will investigate B&F Systems (3920 S.Walker Blvd. Dallas, Texas 75236-1510) for prizes. |
| Currently working on new a Beer Sponsor. Should have something secure in the next two weeks. |
| Customized benefit packages as well as generic ones are now available. Remember this is a key to obtain sponsorship. |
| The Friday event (corporate Event/function) is critical to the success of the tournament. All corporate sponsorship will be geared toward the Friday’s event. |
New Foundation Updates – Russ Cuffee
| We currently have the following: Articles of the corporation, and tax ID. |
| Constitution and bylaws are finalized |
| Board members elected. |
| The foundation is now up and officially operating. |
Accounting – J. Woodard
| A discussion was held on how to transfer funds from the ProDuffers organization to the foundation. |
| A motion was made and 2nd to transfer $32,000 to the foundation when the foundation is in a proper position/status to receive and deposit the funds. The motion carried. |
Junior Golf – T.Thomas
| The new program will start with 15 kids (ages 7 – 14) |

| Suggest that the vice president chair this committee. |
