2010 PRO DUFFERS USA HOUSTON CHAPTER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
The Pro Duffers USA Houston Chapter will award a Club Championship Trophy to each winner of two handicap flights based on USGA handicap index. The two flights will be designated as follows: Charlie Sifford Flight 0.0-13.9 Handicap Index Lee Elder Flight 14.0 and higher Handicap Index Players will be placed in flights based on their USGA handicap index at the end of January, 2010 and will remain in their assigned flight for the 2010 season. The handicap flights for 2010 are: CHARLIE SIFFORD FLIGHT LEE ELDER FLIGHT Willie Dunlap Mike Bell Mike Evans Curtis Clay Rick Flanagin Horace Colbert Mac Galley Jeff Hopkins Henry Hudson Ralph Kelley Kelvin McGregor Joe Lee Archie Moss Kerry Muldrow Elzie Thomas Reggie Thomas The Houston Chapter Club Championship will be contested from March, 2010 through November, 2010. The Club Championship will be point based. The person with the most total points in each flight at the end of the year will be the Club Champion. One official outing per month will be scheduled as a Club Championship tournament. The dates and locations for the Club Championship tournaments are listed at the end of this document. The annual tournament will be worth double points if it is a 2-day event. The final outing in November will be considered The Houston Chapter Tour Championship tournament and will be worth quadruple points. The following points will be awarded for each tournament in March through October: 1st Place 100 points (200 points for annual tournament) 2nd Place 75 points (150 points for annual tournament) 3rd Place 50 points (100 points for annual tournament) All places below 3rd place will be awarded 25 points (50 points for annual tournament). Players who do not play in a given tournament will receive no points for that tournament. For the final Tour Championship tournament in November, the following points will be awarded: 1st Place 400 points 2nd Place 300 points 3rd Place 200 points All places below 3rd place will be awarded 100 points. In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place for any Club Championship tournament, the following scorecard playoff format will be used to determine 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place: 1. The back nine score will be the first tiebreaker. The player with the lowest back nine score will be the winner of the contested place. 2. The front nine score will be the second tiebreaker. If a tie exists after the first tiebreaker is employed, the player with the lowest front nine score will be the winner of the contested place. 3. A sudden death hole by hole scorecard playoff will be the third tiebreaker. If a tie exists after the first and second tiebreakers are employed, scores will be compared starting with the #1 handicap hole and proceeding to the next hardest hole until a winner of the contested place is determined.

END OF YEAR NET SCORE TOURNAMENT
The net score tournament will be played in December at the conclusion of the Club Championship season. The USGA handicap indexes from the Club Championship tournaments will be used. To participate in the end of year tournament a player must have participated in a minimum of five (5) Club Championship tournaments. The handicap index of each player will be used to determine the course handicap based on the course played. Each player will have handicap strokes based on the course handicap subtracted from his gross score at the end of the tournament. The winner of the tournament will be the player with the lowest net score for the tournament. In the event of a tie the following scorecard playoff format will be used to determine the winner: 1. The back nine net score will be the first tiebreaker. The back nine net score will be determined by subtracting 50% of the handicap strokes for the players involved in the tiebreaker from the gross back nine score. The player with the lowest net front nine score will be the winner. 2. The front nine net score will be the second tiebreaker. If a tie exists after the first tiebreaker is employed, the net front nine score will be determined by subtracting 50% of the handicap strokes for the players involved in the tiebreaker from the gross front nine score. The player with the lowest front nine net score will be the winner. 3. A sudden death hole by hole scorecard playoff will be the third tiebreaker. If a tie exists after the first and second tiebreakers are employed, the sudden death playoff will start with the #1 handicap hole and proceed to the next hardest hole until a winner is determined. One stroke per hole will be subtracted until all handicap strokes are used. The first player who wins a hole will be the winner. 4. If a tie exists after the first, second, and third tiebreakers are employed, each remaining player will be declared the winner. The winner of the net score tournament will have $250 paid toward attendance of the 2011 Spring Fling or 2011 National Tournament. In the event of a tie, the money will be split equitably among the number of players involved in the tie.
