Slicing

The slice is one of golf's most common swing faults. The ball curves left to right. Many golfers compensate by aiming more to the left. This can cause more problems by hitting some shots straight left into trouble.

Golf's greatest affliction. A sliced ball arcs right for the right-handed golfer. Slices are caused by an 'outside to inside' swing path that puts 'clockwise' sidespin on the ball.
Strengthen your grip by rotating your hands 'clockwise' on the club.
Set up square with shoulders and hips on a line parallel to the target. Drop a club at your feet after you've taken your stance. Most slicers are pointed well left of the target.
Take the club back more to the inside and start the downswing with less hip turn and more lateral hip slide to the target.
