Try A Longer Shaft: The longer shaft lengthens the swing arc and increases club-head speed at impact. The downside to a longer shaft is that the club is harder to control. If you tend to spray your drives, this may not be for you. Tip: if you usually hook the ball, a stiffer shaft (less flex) may straighten your drives. If you slice or hit to the right, a more flexible shaft will give more 'kick' at impact and help close the club-face. Try The New Technology: If you are still using traditional woods and want greater distance, new metal woods are the way to go.
Lengthen you swing arc by adding a 'plug' or shaft extender to your favorite driver.
The right shaft flex will maximize 'kick-velocity' at impact. (Shaft extender and Driver shaft are shown in this image).
The Top-Flite Intimidator driver maximizes perimeter weighting for greater distance and more forgiveness. (Titanium face insert and vibration-dampening micro-light foam center are shown in this image.)
Use of Titanium in the new Top-Flite Intimidator driver increases the sweetspot over older traditional drivers. | |||||
