Alignment Problems

The ball is hit solidly without slicing or hooking yet travels consistently to the right or left of the target. Common Causes: Improper Stance, improper shoulder alignment, or assumption of stance before target selection. Correcting Misalignment: Pros and amateurs alike sometimes have problems with poor alignment. If your shots are chronically off target even though you feel your alignment is correct, try the following tips.

Lay a club parallel to your toes to check your alignment. Club should point to the target.
Line up your shoulders on a line parallel to the line from your ball to the hole.
Always decide on a target before assuming your stance. Pick a spot (leaf and divot) on an imaginary line to the target and set up parallel to the line.
